Description: Buttons or links not working
Steps to Reproduce:

1. Focus / open the search field.
2. Type in a query.
3. Press on a result with the mouse (not with the keyboard).
   The result will not open, and the search modal will be dismissed.

The same issue occurs on https://signal.miraheze.org (another case of same MediaWiki theme) and, more interestingly, on https://packages.altlinux.org/en/sisyphus/ (completely different website not using MediaWiki as far as I know) - so it seems like it's a generic web compatibility issue.

It works fine on Chrome and Firefox on macOS, it's just Safari on macOS that has the issue. Safari on iOS also works fine (tapping the search result).

Interestingly, if I:

• Set a breakpoint on the blur event on #searchInput at https://signal.miraheze.org (https://starcitizen.tools doesn't seem to have a blur event there, though the issue is also reproducible);
• Click on a search result;
• Wait a little bit and then simply continue script execution by pressing the button in the debugger,

then the search result is correctly opened.

This was opened as an issue in StarCitizenTools/mediawiki-skins-Citizen#404 and fixed using a hack, but it appears that doesn't fix it now anymore as I wrote earlier there (StarCitizenTools/mediawiki-skins-Citizen#404 (comment)).
