Browser / Version: Firefox 140.0
Operating System: Linux
Tested Another Browser: Yes Chrome
Problem type: Something else
Description: On Firefox, the blinking text cursor (caret) disappears in the ChatGPT message input box after page load. It works during page load and works perfectly in Chrome. Reproduced in Firefox on both Windows 10 and Linux Lite. Please investigate rendering bug.
Steps to Reproduce:
I use Firefox (latest stable version) to access ChatGPT at https://chat.openai.com. Until yesterday night, everything was working perfectly.
But starting today morning, I noticed that the blinking text cursor (caret) in the message input box disappears after the ChatGPT page finishes loading. I can still type — but I cannot see the cursor at all, which makes it difficult and confusing to know where I'm typing.
This only happens in Firefox. The cursor works fine in Google Chrome and Chromium on the same system.
I tested this in both Windows 10 Pro and Linux Lite, and the exact same issue happens in Firefox on both operating systems.
