Browser / Version: Firefox for Linux 144.0
Operating System: Linux Mint 22.2
Tested Another Browser: Yes Opera

Problem type: Something else
Description: Netflix videos on Firefox Linux are limited to 720p
Steps to Reproduce:
Steps to reproduce :

  1. Watch a Netflix video on Firefox Linux.
  2. Watch the same video on Opera Linux or Firefox on Windows 11.
  3. Compare the quality

According to Netflix help pages, Firefox Linux is limited to 720p, unlike Windows or macOS version. Opera is the only linux browser allowed to stream Netflix at 1080p.

This is a Netflix side limitation because using a fake user-agent is a workaround.

I have reported this problem to Netflix, it appears to be a DRM limitation.
I have tried several user-agents, but most of them block the video.
Only user-agent Opera/Linux makes 1080p available on Firefox Linux.
