Browser / Version: Firefox 45.0
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.11
Problem type: Something else - I'll add details below
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kBx98ulj5V5M9Zdeamy7v6ofZXX3yPziAf0V27A64Mo/
- Select some text in the Google Doc.
- Right-click on the selected text (or click on the "Edit" drop down menu) and select the "Copy" menu item.
Expected Behavior:
The selected text should be copied.
Actual Behavior:
Google Doc shows the following error message, even though Firefox 41+ supports the HTML5 Clipboard API for copying and cutting text. (For security reasons, Firefox does not allow unprivileged web content to programmatic paste the clipboard contents.)
"Copying and pasting in Google Docs: These actions are unavailable via the Edit menu, but you can still use ⌘C for copy, ⌘X for cut, and ⌘V for paste."
