Description: Incorrect highlight on text with background color
Steps to Reproduce:

1. Navigate to https://quilljs.com/playground/#class-vs-inline-style
2. Type in some text or select the text available in the editor.
3. Set a background color.
4. Select the text (with mouse or using ctrl+a).
5. Observe highlight.

Expected Behavior:
The highlight i correctly displayed over the text.

Actual Behavior:
The highlight is not present (looks like the text is not even selected).

Notes:

1. Screenshot attached.
2. The issue is not reproducible on Chrome 85.0.4183.121
3. This is also reproducible in other editors (Quill and TyniMCE https://webcompat.github.io/webcompat-editor-testing/tiny-mce.html).
4. The issue does not occur on Mac OS.
